Embroidery Cockerel 5” on Flickr.
The embroidery is done using a basic sewing machine fitted with a freehand embroidery foot. I sketch the cockerel, and freehand straight onto the fabric using different coloured threads. I leave some threads loose to attract the eye to areas of interest and details.
This piece is mounted on a 5”(12.7cm) embroidery hoop (made in Britain).
Ready to hang.
Each cockerel embroidery is unique due to the nature of freehand machine.
